like why is he so trash on markelle fultz level like WTF happened

and Knicks fans need to stop with teacher's pet shyt with Frank it is annoying, it defies logic when an argument for frank to play 35 mins...that is not realistic, when he can't shoot, post, or break down the defense with his dribble their is no reason for him to be on the floor especially when it looks like the knicks are going to play bully ball

Frank came in because we had momentum and Payton was in foul trouble. He came in to close the quarter for defensive purposes.

Now the narrative is that Frank was put in a tough position.

And no shyt is still in the air because this team was thrown together pieces don’t match.

He wasn’t sent in to close the game. He was sent in to let Payton get a breather/prevent him from picking more fouls to close out the quarter and maybe to begin the 4th. It’s nothing wrong with the sub spot defenders come into these type of situations.

80 percent of the lineup was set because there was no ambiguity for those 3 positions. He has to start RJ, Morris and Randle. It's in the spots where there's no clear-cut, obvious decision that he fails. There was even talk about Mitch not starting even if he was healthy

I know that decisions haven't been made based on his substitution pattern and minutes played. Not because he didn't tell me.

He started with RJ at point guard and Trier at SG and his first sub was DSJ. Trier ended up playing 6 minutes total and DSJ played 10 minutes. Then he threw in Frank in there at the end with a 5 point lead for some reason.

It's not that I must know who's starting because I'm entitled, it's that the players themselves should know their roles and positions.

Obviously every coach tinkers with their rotations but I guarantee you we won't ever see RJ-Trier back court again. It's okay to tinker but if you have no idea or direction of how your team should play before game one, then that's not NBA level coaching.

The big problem is that Fizdale's whole modus operandi is benching and taking away minutes. We've seen it before and we saw it last night his go to coaching move is to bench you. And if you can't make it on your own then that's too bad.

whoever played well got mins and whoever didnt got benched
dennis smith came in before payton, was trash and got benched.
frank came in when we had a lead, perfect time to play some defense, and run da offense. he looked terrifed so he was benched.
ellington got benched after some dumb plays too.

payton didnt cry about not starting, he came in da game, and played like a professional and now is probably our starting point guard.

theres no time for excuses. u make da most of your opportunies and eventually u will be awarded. frank and smith will get other chances, but yesterday they sucked and didnt deserve to play in a close game like that.


as for rj,its better if he experiments with shyt in game 1, then he experiments in game 50.
theres nothin wrong with him testing our barrett's point guard skills in da first game of his fukkin career lmao

stop overreacting to dumb shyt. this team sucks, allow for him to experiment atleast for da first couple games. so many of these players are close talent wise, fiz is just tryin to see whos willin to put in da effort

if he brought in denns smith jr u would of cried about injustice. we needed frank for defense and to set guys up. he does dat well every 10 games or so.

Subbing in a player in 4th quarter of a close game that I didn't trust to play in the first three quarters is coaching master class.

Honestly, I liked DSJ's defense last season. Not great, but respectable. He was terrible last night though, getting crossed up from three feet away for and-ones. I think his back is still shaky and he probably rushed back because of the competition. I hope if he's still aching, they rest him a while longer. No need for another THJ situation, playing a hurt dude who's detrimental to the team because he's laboring.
