You calling me a homer breh?:mjcry: jk

I still hold it against Fiz for not giving Frank an actual shot last season with that shirt leash.

Man, that was the end:mjcry:

fukking Pacers, we would’ve won it all that year. I stand by that statement.

we had the heats number that year too :francis:

blew them out in 3 games and the one game they did win was in the last minute.

Doubt we were beating peak Bron in a 7 game playoff series :francis:

But fukk we should have at least been ECF that season :mjcry:

The age of that team was a blessing and a curse :mjcry:

On a tangent but the three things that ruined Melo’s time in NY was

1) Amare and his play styles not meshing and Amare being injury prone.

2) The Billups Amnesty that should have been saved for Amare locking Amare here until he expired.

3) The fact the Knicks couldn’t pull a Kuzma and Keep one of Wilson Chandler or Gallo in the Melo trade.

Basically Melo was doomed to fail before he even joined the team. They completely mismanaged the roster and salary cap.

I wanted Melo gone early cause I thought KP would step up but in hindsight KP was a p*ssy and the Knicks still ain’t shyt. Melo is a damn warning to other stars to stay the fukk out of NY.

:heh: I disagree but I remember feeling like Woodson failed to adapt in that series. Even Frank Vogel called out Woodson's strategy against him after playing against Miami. If I recall correctly, Woodson felt they lost because the Pacers were "big"
Yea, Woodson didn’t adjust.

That’s why I think that was our year, the heat ain’t have an answer for us. The injuries killed us towards the end of the season:francis:

Now we over looking at the old season like it’s an ex:mjlol:

:mjcry:

Breh my older brother and his homie were talking about how the Knicks should've given Pat Riley the control he wanted and Dolan would never been an issue, Knicks woulda had the big 3...and all this other stuff. A lot of Knicks fans going WAY back for comfort :wow:

I'm gonna throw all my biases aside and say build around Frank and RJ.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Knox or Mitch. Knox isn't in "build around" mode but "keep around" for sure because the tools are there, just not the mindset. I think the right system or coach could get a lot of use out of him and then maybe he can grow into a bigger role. Mitch...we saw what he can do when he's got his mind right and that was as a rookie. His foul troubles are definitely his own fault, but being a part of a second unit with DSJ, Knox and Portis on the floor puts him in a lot of situations to have to cover for other guys' mistakes. That exacerbates the problem (and it's even worse any time Dot isn't the other wing because Ellington is a worse defender and the rest of the options are plain bad).

It's another example of what I keep saying about Fiz not putting his youngsters in the best position to succeed. But in Mitch's case above all others, I blame the FO because they signed all these PF's but none of them fits with Mitch all that well unless they're willing to acknowledge that Morris is a PF which they can't because they have Randle making too much money.
