Got these nikkas looking like an underdog varsity team in an inner city and shyt.

Like this is the end of the movie with the caption after that reads,

"Coach Miller would go on to lead the East Flatbush Knicks to 4 more wins over the course of the next 50 games of the season. Years later, he'd eventually leave East Flatbush and bring multiple college teams to the Final Four"

"Julius Randle went on to graduate High School and leave the gang life and eventually create a nonforprofit, designed to keep inner youth out of street life, called Don't Pass Your Life Away".

"Frank Ntilikina continued to play for the East Flatbush High School Knicks for another 15 years, when, at the age of 36, he finally lived up to his potential leading the team to their first playoff appearance while avg 20ppg. He graduated high school the following year, walking the stage with his grandson. He gave the commencement speech in which he stated, 'never give up. Take things slow. Eventually, you'll arrive."

"Damien Dotson mysteriously disappeared. No one looked for him but always asked why he wasn't around."

"Bobby Portis was arrested for a triple homicide and currently coaches a Prison championship team."

"Principal Steve Mills and Assistant Principal Scott Perry were arrested and brought up on fraud charges based off an anonymous tip that the pair was siphoning funds and resources from money allocated to school books and employment contracts."

1st Round Playoff Exits
frank just doesnt have enough heart for this league.
good, talented player, but doesn't have that natural drive and aggression needed to be an elite player at his position.

fizz got the best out of him earlier in the season with his motivation, had frank saying he was a "dog" too and shyt lol but don't have that self motivation which i dont think can be taught.

i mean hes had da starting spot for a while now and hasnt really been trying to hold on to it
So what you're saying is frank needs to go to the spurs :wow:

MY nikka :dead:

LMAOOOOOOO

I'm hearing the dramatic music and seeing the freeze frame on the player with the description of where they're at in their life below with each one. Mills and Perry freeze frame in handcuffs and shyt.

I'm weeeeeaakkkk.

How has RJ Barrett looked for y'all so far :jbhmm:?

When he's playing in decent spacing and getting consistent touches, his potential really shines. He can overpower most smaller defenders and if you slide him to the three, he can get downhill past his man. His court vision and ability to make reads are both better than I'd even expected. He's also way ahead of the typical rookie defensively, not great but consistently good and projecting to get better since most of his mistakes are correctable. The rebounding is as advertised. In his prime, he'll log some triple doubles.

The flaws are kind of as advertised too though. He's a downhill driver, which means if guys stay in front of him he goes bulls his way to the rim more often than not (though he does have a nice eurostep that suggests he could get more elusive). His jumper is inconsistent. When it's falling, his entire game unlocks but when it's off, players can drop and then his bulling style is a lot easier to cap. In limited space, that all gets exacerbated and we don't have many legitimate floor spacers plus our system prior to Mike Miller was based on dribble hand-offs and made defensive rotations easier. So he's had an uphill battle. Also, the free throw struggles are really frustrating, he gets to the line a lot but routinely leaves multiple points hanging with missed FT's.

But overall, he's been a good rookie that can be great when either his jumper is falling or the floor spacing allows him to operate more openly. He has multi-time allstar upside with a two way game. The jumper becoming more consistent is gonna be crucial to hitting his upper end potential. But there have been more than enough flashes from good to centerpiece level play that I'm really happy with the pick (and I had Culver neck and neck with him thanks to higher floor, lower ceiling).

He also has good signs of intangibles but there's no measurables to support it. He just shows consistent fearlessness no matter what the circumstances, the downside being it can lead to some forces that aren't necessary but the upside being that when we need a bucket, he's down to step up and go for it.

Good analysis @storyteller .

Saw DeAndre Hunter go off against my Miami Heat the other night. Kid looks great. Great jumper. Can take it to the rim tho he's not great at creating his own shot all the time. I know the Hawks wanted to move up in the draft and offered the Knicks the #4 and #10 ick for the #3 but wasn't sure if that was to pick Hunter or Barrett. Meanwhile Tyler Herro has looked great in Miami. Legit ROY candidate despite not starting. The confidence in the kid is unlike anything I've seen in a rookie before.

Seems like that was a good draft for wing players

I slept on Herro heavy fam. Yall got yourself a gamer with the skillset to back it! Kendrick Nunn too, you struck gold on that pick up.

I was high on Hunter and Culver as potentially better picks than Barrett, but he's calmed my nerves on it. Last year's draft was good money on the wings, this upcoming one has a bunch of nice PG and combo guards.

And fam, is it just the injury bug with Winslow? I pegged this season for him to really turn the corner off how well he played last season.

The jokes and kids are the main thing keeping this season afloat. Have some rep.

Winslow is the reason i bump heads with my fellow Heat fans. Great overall player but cant score worth a damn. an average night for Winslow on offense is 6-14 FG shooting. But he makes up for it on defense and play making. I'd be fine with trading him if we could get something of HIGH VALUE for him but i also want him for his defense come playoff time.

What you guys think of this trade? Is Charlotte dumb enough to do it? We probably don’t get any picks but we could maybe try and get something for Iggy? Or keep him? Most likely cut him.
