Wait guys ok I will be the Devil’s advocate

There is a strong chance he likes being here because he has the freedom to play himself into a great contract.

you put him on a better team and he is likely at most gonna Ave 14-20 pts a game
Not too mention he wanted to be here to be closer to family. His actions say other in terms of helping turn this around.

Question: How did Bam, Nunn and Robinson get to be what they are now? None of those guys were drafted as starting players correct?
they got good on their own (which is possible according to you)
cause accordin to most heat fans, spolestra cant coach for shyt

Your point makes no sense. You wanna fire the coach because the new front office is gonna hire their own guy...but that means whoever they replace the coach with is gonna get fired too

:dwillhuh:
no idea what you are talkin about fam lol

when a new front office comes in, usually whoever is coaching the team is a lame duck. mike woodson for example had a great record with us, but when phil came he got fired cause phil wanted his own man.

that will most likely happen with the new front office. so i said there's no point in wasting time. just get the coach you want to hire from the beginning and lets start a full reset. no point of keepin miller history has shown those coaches don't usually last

Unless the knicks have plans on signing morris to a long term deal, he’s good as gone.

He’s easily our best trade bait piece we have. He’s better than Taj and Portis, Randle has one more guaranteed yr left his contract which will make it more difficult to move.

I would love to see morris on the bucks. Bucks got 2 first rounders this yr, their own and pacers. I’d prefer the pacers pick, but would gladly take either for morris.

What I'd do is talk to Mook about where he'd want to go in order to see the playoffs. Shake hands, and let him know on his way to the new team that we'll be calling in the offseason (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). He'd get to go compete for a ring somewhere and then he can have the option to come back and play for us long term after the season...plus we'll have an additional asset from the trade.

Just saw on Realgm that you can’t sign a player you’ve traded away for a year (similar to not being able to trade a player you’ve just signed or recently traded I guess). So Morris stays or we get a pick for him and keep it moving.

I’m looking at that as a win-win. I really like what he’s brought the knicks so if he stays, I’m good with it. But if he goes to continue building up assets, I won’t be too upset either. He’s good enough to help somebody win and we’re gonna need time to build the type of team that he could help the most.

There is no turning this around though. I say get a pick for him. That pick would be arguably the only positive thing we could come away with from this season
