Edwards is very inefficient in college
If you are expecting him to not have those 2/13 nights you are going to be disappointed
He only shoots 41% overall and 32% from 3
However, he will probably trap himself in the gym and can improve his efficiency

Oh I know fam, you know I'm patient as hell with these youngsters. I see a path for him to be a number one option in the NBA though. It's a shot I feel like we really need to take if we can get it.

some people expect edwards to just come in and average 20ppg or something
he might be more raw than people think and like any young player
WILL NEED TO BE DEVELOPED

Are you confident the Knicks will be able to develop him?

It seems like everyone who plays for the Knicks and go somewhere else end up playing way better than they were on the Knicks

That's not a coincidence

RJ is having an average up and down rookie season and he's catching hell from some Knicks fans who only wanted Zion or Ja :mjlol:

I've heard Edwards has motor issues. You know who else has motor issues? Knox

The problem is Knicks fans will go from loving a young player one game to hating them the next
They don't know what development looks like

Yeah, the million dollar question is can we develop these guys enough. I don't know, but I think you have to trust your scouts and developmental team if you want to be a successful organization. I know the fans go back and forth with these cats, but so far the FO has at least shown the restraint of not trading anybody. With Knox, I think his motor issues are moreso confidence issues than anything. I'm really hopeful that he'll come around, he's hella young. I think part of it is also that fans aren't always ready to let a lottery pick just settle into a role, they want these guys to be stars and some of them won't be. But if they're able to contribute and continue growing, maybe one or two do. RJ's really, really promising and the one thing our FO has targeted consistently is players who were well known for being gymrats. So even if our own development is subpar, a kid like Frank went over to France and came back a legit rotation player.
