But Fiz alone has done little to help these two younger players improve

Trier was already skilled enough to get buckets. Mitch was already athletic enough to defend and rebound well.

He wants to know what has Fiz done to improve either one of them?

there tends to be a lot of players that are just "serviceable from the beginning" on this team for some odd reason. i never heard that talk before fizz got here.

I mean... we have vastly different ideas of what 'decent' means because if the three best players on your team are Barrett/Morris/Randle, it really should be no surprise the team is the worst in the NBA. At best, with peak coaching and rotations, you're looking at a 30 win team.

Which is what we all anticipated this summer. My bad, I should have said competitive instead of decent. Competitive team that doesn’t get blown out by 30 to fellow non playoff teams...

If Fiz does get fired. How do you guys feel about going after Jason Kidd or SVG?

I think you guys should let Randle come off the bench and play a Kanter role for you. Let Morris play the 4 and let Knox play the three. You guys will have more floor spacing and less dumb mistakes.

I don’t know how i feel putting this all on Fiz when it feels like he’s just doing what the FO is asking him to do. They’ve tried to sign guys as reclamation projects to trade or make the organization look good but they did it at the hindrance of the development of their own players. There isn’t a system in the world that can make Morris and Randle and RJ fit together, not to mention in less than a month.
You can’t give him this fukked up team and then blame him when the shyt doesn’t work. Now if Pills told him he could do what he wants, and Fiz’s solution is what we’re seeing then fine, but i seriously can’t believe NO ONE on that bench doesn’t know that he has to bench Randle or Morris. If Fiz goes they all gotta go.

It's not all on Fiz, but he's not doing much to help his case either. The Randle signing was the most egregious thing to happen this offseason and if Fizdale signed off on it, he deserves as much blames as Mills and Perry. That's a signing that was based on stats and highlight reels and had nothing to do with actual player analysis. If it were, then the Knicks would have made sure to run pick and rolls more than half the time they run a set instead of iso's.

Every year this fanbase has delusions of grandeur about the talent on this team especially the young talent

the idea that it’s a decent roster that’s just being misused is laughable.

With that said that doesn’t mean Fiz off the hook. While I don’t think it’s his fault I don’t think he’s a good coach either. He was thought of as being good at developing talent who had he developed?

His whole rep as a coach had been overblown because the media and Lebron like him.

I already have. I'm not giving these bums anymore of my time.

I just check the score to see how much they're losing by and then check this thread to see the reactions but I honestly don't care.

I was born in 1999 and the Knicks have been mediocre to straight up garbage since I was born (with the exception of 1-2 years).

I'm tired of this sh!t. At least, the Yankees and Giants have won titles in my lifetime. At least, the Rangers were consistently in the playoffs for a decade (2006-2017) and made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2014.

mitch and zo did not "show up good". no one expected shyt from them.coming into da season. trier wasnt even drafted. knox is much better today than he was last year.

First of all, you don't realize that you're complimenting talent scouting and not actual coaching. All the shyt Mitch and Zo were good at coming into Summer League or Preseason, that's the shyt that propelled them in the regular season.

And Knox much like Frank is improved due to his work in the offseason. To credit Fiz for that when Frank hired his own trainer to improve the flaws in his game, and we don't know whether Fiz had ANYTHING to do with Kev is disingenuous.
