If 2 of your rookies were hot in the 2nd quarter and you subbed them out for vets to take the rest of their minutes then come into the third to extend to deficit with those same vets now at 30 points, your ass deserves to be fired asap.

so yes, firing fizz will be scapegoating. thats how i feel atleast. if you dont think mills was scapegoating phil to dolan behind his back, then i dont no what to tell you.

Well it depends on the facts of the situation, and whether what you believe is happening is true, or whether what they've been feeding us in the media is true.

If they fire him after this loss, and the Knicks continue to lose while still implementing the same schemes, rotations (primarily the starting lineup containing both Morris & Randle), and flaws...then yes, you would be right that it's scapegoating. It would show that Mills and Perry have had significant say in the players who get minutes and shine, and that Fizdale did not have as much say as they have indicated in the past.

However, if what they've said is true and they've been working with Fizdale this whole time, giving him free reign to run this team, and they either extend the same courtesy or ask the interim coach to make significant changes...we'll be able to tell. And if these changes lead to more victories, then they wouldn't be scapegoating
