I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Knox or Mitch. Knox isn't in "build around" mode but "keep around" for sure because the tools are there, just not the mindset. I think the right system or coach could get a lot of use out of him and then maybe he can grow into a bigger role. Mitch...we saw what he can do when he's got his mind right and that was as a rookie. His foul troubles are definitely his own fault, but being a part of a second unit with DSJ, Knox and Portis on the floor puts him in a lot of situations to have to cover for other guys' mistakes. That exacerbates the problem (and it's even worse any time Dot isn't the other wing because Ellington is a worse defender and the rest of the options are plain bad).

It's another example of what I keep saying about Fiz not putting his youngsters in the best position to succeed. But in Mitch's case above all others, I blame the FO because they signed all these PF's but none of them fits with Mitch all that well unless they're willing to acknowledge that Morris is a PF which they can't because they have Randle making too much money.

This dude is a great follow and not just because he's basically spelled out exactly what I've been trying to say about Mitch's struggles in this twitter thread, but that certainly helps.

Im so disgusted that Fiztales, Whiskers and Freckles havent been fired yet :scust:
I'm only here to stan RJ and watch some of the other young guys like Frank, Mitch, etc.

I'm not here to watch Randle, Morris, and all these vets stink it up under Fiz's shyt offense

I want fiz to go so hopefully mike miller can run a basic pick and roll offense and develop the young guys, especially rj who I think can be an all star or superstar

rj is not being developed properly being camped in the corner and he has too much potential to not be groomed to be a franchise player starting right now

Once that happens, the Knicks will be better for it

But no let's make decisions for franchise centerpiece Randle

Dolan left his seat at half and never came back.
Perry and Mills weren't in their seats either

Hopefully Dolan realizes the writing on the wall and gets rid of all 3

Fiz will go first obviously but Perry and Mills must be let go at season's end

I doubt Dolan will fire them before that
