Yeah fam, Clyde makes all the sense in the world and even mentioned that Frank reminded him a bit of himself during one of the games. He's there, he's a lifelong Knick, that combo makes sense to me. I also understand the need for floor stretchers, but would have been totally fine passing on Ellington or Bullock for someone who really wouldn't demand minutes any more. Get us our own version of VC on the Hawks last year. My pick? Jamal Crawford. No longer the player that would eat into RJ's or Dot's or Zo's minutes; but a true veteran with feared range and enough handle to spell our inexperienced PG's a bit if they're getting pressed. I had a completely different view of how our plan B should have gone. We'd still have a similar record, maybe worse, but the kids would be the focal point plain and simple.

On another note, I've converted to the church of Tyrese Haliburton. He's in our range, maybe a bit further down if we get passed up and lose a spot or two in the draft. Another big PG who canscore and flat out create and has the college three locked down. Haliburton/RJ/Frank is a great three guard rotation with Dot in a complimentary role. If Frank keeps growing, he could slide into that group too. You either go Haliburton/RJ with Frank first off the bench and Dot next; or you go Haliburton/Frank/RJ depending on where Frank's shooting and overall development is after another offseason. :banderas:
I feel like he’s the Donovan mitchell of this draft.

I like that comparison. There are other guys I'd consider more of a swing for the fences (Cole, Edwards and LaMelo) but I think he has a lower floor and at least right now a bit of an underrated ceiling. He's gonna be good, how good? I'm not sure. But I really like the high floor with upside types, even when the ceiling is a little lower. My guy Culver is starting to show something and I'd categorize him in the high floor, decent ceiling category too.

Frank is looking like a good backup.
frank is a keeper
not every pick has to be a star
sometimes the most important players don't put up the biggest stats
e.g. bruce bowen for the spurs, iggy for gs, marcus smart (heart and soul of that team) for boston
every great team has staple players

If the Knicks go on a losing streak (and streaks), I can see Perry and Mills getting desperate to save their jobs

You better hope they don't make stupid blockbuster trades for 3 more wins

I can see them trying to do as such but at the same time I see teams around the league to trying to beat them over the head with any trade. So if they do get a blockbuster trade they’ll have to dig deep and as a result will look stupid as hell and still get the axe.

After watching Mitch against quality teams I realize he only dominates against shyt teams

When the Knicks face a quality team he's back to foul machine low IQ Mitch almost every single time

For example this west coast trip when he got dominated by Harrell and was ineffective against the Lakers and Jazz

Like I said before, if Wiseman is available, the Knicks have to take him

Because if Mitch still looks like this in year 3 or doesn't improve much, and the Knicks don't have a quality center to take his place, they will have a major problem at center next season and for the foreseeable future

Unless they call Wooton up and he shows something but he's really a PF

He can fix that if he learns post moves and gets a mid range jumper.

A lot of ifs offensively for Mitch
At most Mitch is a roller to the basket and he hasn't shown much else
I expect big things from Mitch in year 3 in terms of consistency
If he is still on this low IQ foul machine bullshyt then there is a problem
Mitch is a defensive anchor center who can roll to the basket and that's all he is at this point
He is a future 10/10 or 12/12 guy who can block shots like crazy
People think his ceiling is higher than that?
He had great games this year but he needs to dominate quality teams consistently

That's why I'm mad at development. It seems like they're complacent. Mitch is better then just alley oops. RJ probably has someone from his camp teaching him. Frank fired someone and hired someone from France to develop. Knox and Mitch has no one. Dolan/Mills need to bring in someone from retirement under 40 to train them.

Everything you said makes sense but unfortunately Dolan and Mills have proven they are not good at making common sense decisions:francis:
Mitch might end up a super Clint Capela which is not bad at all
Capela is one of the Rockets most important offensive players due to the spacing he provides when he rolls to the basket and Mitch can be the same for the Knicks
I think Mitch is a defensive anchor who's main role is to role to the basket
I didn't realize Knicks fans think he can be more than that talking about post moves and a jumper
However, post moves and a jumper would do a lot for his game and my ceiling for him would increase

Don’t worry breh, we got President Obama’s brother in charge of development:jawalrus:

:snoop:
I’m starting to notice that Frank always shows out in front of his fellow Frenchmen. Maybe we should sign Fournier this off season :lupe:
I think it was that but also his friendship with Mitchell. It felt like at times Mitchell ain’t wanna kill Frank. I don’t know, maybe it was just me:yeshrug:

I’m still waiting for the day Payton, Randle, Gibson and Portis to all be out on the same day so our young players can get some shots up.
We felt the same way going into offseason and look where we at now:francis:

We need to fix the problem, Mills and Perry. Though whoever replaces them may not be in for a youth movement as well. But we just gotta live with that position get the gruesome twosome out of the FO.

Frank needs a fellow french man on his team to unlock his full potential
His play differs based on who he plays with I've noticed
