I mean to be fair we've been doing good with 2nd rounders. Mitch is arguably our best young piece, Dot's been doing his thing and Zo has shown sixth man potential.

The way the draft is now the Knicks have a better chance of getting a top 3 pick. They had the worst record in th east and got the 3rd. Memphis and NO were 12 and 13 in the west and got the top 2. Lakers were 10th and got a 4th.

It's the Knicks so we know how it will probably end

the knicks pick might not even be in the top 10
also doesn't the pick position depend slightly on the mavs record next season? (I doubt they will be bad)
