The rebuild is dead if either Thibs or Van Gundy gets hired, especially so if it's Thibs. It'll feel like one of those old dumb and splashy moves that the Knicks used to make a lot.

Edit: Thibs would just be an awful hire in general. He's a stubborn coach who employs an outdated offensive system.

You can say the exact same thing with Van Gundy too bro. To me the one thing Thibs has over Van Gundy is his ability to connect with the current players in the league. Van Gundy also had rigid substitution patterns

Food for thought.

Throwing the young guys out there with no structure is NOT the way to go.

Having an efficient system that promotes the young guys finding their place in that system without breaking it(it being the system) the key.

I am of the impression that Miller is closer to following what Fiz should have done.

The names being floated out feel more like this whole "rebranding to clean up the image" thing is what matters most. JVG will always have a soft spot from me, Thibs deserves another shot some place but I'm not mad at the job Miller has done so far. I wouldn't boot him if the team stays on the same trajectory they've been on since he took over. I want to see how the kids look in late March-early April; Miller could be earning a contract and would probably be cheaper than any of the names being floated.

I fought my urge to check the thread title too match my interests/optimism if the current trajectory...

Then I threw myself off the high horse and remembered that I may have made our threat but the KnicksFam as a whole matter way more than my individual ideas.

That being said, after tomorrow's game, give me some fun and witty title concepts to match where we are.

If we continue winning...:mjlit:
I'm thinking...

Think so? Got great mix of defense and offense. Let Ben run wild with some shooters around him. They’d be fun at least.
Chemistry is more important in hoops than any other sport. The team should be built around RJ being the alpha with other guys that supplement his game. Other than Mitch, those other guys don't mesh with RJ's game imo.
