we aint gettin giannis
doesnt mean we should give out big time contracts to role players

John wall is gonna make 40+ million next year. A lot of the max guys in the league are making 35+ million. 22 million is the going rate for high level role players.

So what moves would you suggest we make, breh? :jbhmm:
short term deals for quality players until we find something worth long term
chris paul making a shyt load of money, but its only for 2 years and it comes with a lot of potential positives, id entertain that trade if we dont give up too many pics.

pick up gallo on a 1 or 2 year deal.

start our draft pick.
give iggy and dotson more playing time, start mitch.
aint much we can do wit dis trash ass roster.

giving van fleet dat type of money isnt the worst thing in da world, but we need flexbility.

I don't understand what you're saying we need flexibility for... particularly when the Knicks have enough cap space to sign a player to 22 mil and still have room... particularly when you're agreeing that the Knicks probably aren't signing a free agent next season

next season is a wash. just cause we have da money, doesnt mean we should spend it on long term contracts

If they're quality players, why would they sign a short term deal unless it was for big money?

Case in point. Costs more than FVV by a large margin but expires in 2. One would say considering the stats that you're getting equal value if you offer FVV 22 Mil a yr for 3 yrs

I think you're saying we need flexibility in 2022.

I'm also having issue calling FVV a role player. We're talking about a guy who averaged 30+ minutes from the middle of the conference finals on to winning the championship last year. He averaged 35 minutes this year on a 53 win team and the second seed in the east.

What makes VanVleet a role player he’s literally one step away from being an All-Star and it’s not even max money.

Ur analysis of this guys game is completely off base :dahell:
