The front office is trying really hard to appear smart, by not hampering the team with contracts to B level players, but theyre not improving the team either. The plan better be to tank and let the kids play, because I really hope theyre not holding hope for 2021 free agency again

The main reason I was completely fine reaching for Kira Lewis at 8 was because there wouldn't be guarantees at PG any other way. Trade demands were too crazy and FA contracts got wild, so we're getting Elfrid Payton back (albeit on a more reasonable contract). I still don't mind the Obi pick, but I'm a little annoyed we passed on Cassius Winston and other options with 33.

I actually don't hate the move for Noel at all. It's a one year deal for a serviceable back-up without an overpay. Maybe you get a second rounder for him at the deadline.

One thing to keep in mind is that the Knicks still have a lot of cap to spend before they even hit the salary floor. I'm not saying they'll do something dramatic, since this offseason looks like a punt. But the roster's about to be full, so it'll be interesting to see what Rose has in mind.
