Lol Elfrid doesn’t have strong oppositions

Pretty much all of our best 5-man units had Elfrid.

Our of\
fense was 6 points better with Elfrid on the floor.

We started winning more games once Elfrid came back.

He has a reputation in the league as a triple double threat with defensive potential. He’s the most experienced PG on the team as far as starting games and the most successful.

Ntilikina and DSJ’s garbage asses aren’t going to start over him.
5 man units is unreliable

Knicks only had 3 5 man units that played more than 15 games together out of 66 games. All had a negative plus minus rating

When you allow for lineups that played more than 10 games together, four lineups had a positive net rating

The top 2 were:
Elfrid/Barrett/Morris/Randle/Portis for +2.8
Ntlikina/Dotson/Knox/Portis/Robinson for +2.2

I know which of those two I would've rather invested more time in

When I adjust the restriction to mpg, the only 5 player lineup that played more than 10 mpg and had higher than a +3 net rating was a line up of Elfrid/Ntilikina/Morris/Randle/Portis

The point I'm making is...they both played well next to the guys who they spent the most of their minutes with. Elfrid started with Mitch and RJ and has a better rating with them, but he has a worse rating with Knox, Dotson and Iggy than Frank. And I think a lot of the reason why the ratings were better with Mitch and RJ, is because Elfrid played really well with Julius and force fed him every time down. But that's just a theory of mine.
