To be sure I understand what you're saying : when we smoke we get caught up in our heads/thoughts and the munchies is the body's reaction to remind us to kind of "come back to Earth"? I always kind of wondered where the munchies came from tbh lol

Yep lol

If you ever got burnt out after having to study, focus hard or something where there's a lot of mental strain, that shyt can leave you just as, if not more exhausted than physical labor. The body (which has it's own agenda) will prompt you to ground yourself by eating. You can also connect similar dots to emotional eating but that's another thread.

Only a fool would still be smoking weed after 40. You were supposed to get that out of your system in your young adult era. Smoking after 40 = your brain will be mush by your 60's. Don't @ me, I said what I said and won't reply back.
Grew up with good friend turning full blown Rastafarian. I'm talking with the walking stick, drum etc. That shyt slows you down man.

“THC interacts with receptors in our brain that regulate emotions, pain and our sense of smell and taste,” said Janice Newell Bissex, a registered dietitian. “It can also promote the release of the hormone ghrelin, which stimulates hunger.” The scientific mechanisms are complex. According to one animal study, by binding to receptors in the olfactory bulb in the brain, THC appears to enhance our sensitivity to smell, which would make aromas from food more potent and cause us to eat more.

Other research has revealed that neurons that normally turn off when eating actually stimulate more eating when marijuana is used. “The neurons that typically control our level of satiety can be usurped when marijuana is consumed,” Wenk said.

THC also increases the release of dopamine, which enhances the pleasure of eating, explained Bissex. In addition to making food more enjoyable, dopamine – a brain chemical that helps to control the brain’s reward and pleasure centers – can lower inhibitions, Hultin explained

Y'all just smoking anything and then saying the weed is too strong because you dozed off:mjlol:

Do your research on the strains you buy. If it's known to induce sleep maybe you shouldn't be smoking it in the daytime.

I probably have over 20 strains in rotation in flower, rosin, resin. I have a bunch of live rosin/resin vapes. Then I have edibles, tinctures, capsules, and syrup but my edible tolerance is extremely low so I don't mess with them as much.

I have strains that get me energized and focused so I do those in the morning. Some strains are relaxing and euphoric so that's mid day. Strains that me laugh I use when I'm watching a movie or some stand up. The heavy ones I save for when I need help sleeping.

You gotta learn how you respond to strains. I tried one late at night and it had charged up so much I was wide awake all night. Lesson learned and I moved it to the day time rotation:manny:

Pro tip, stop smoking and use a vaporizer. You can control the temperature so you have better control of the high.
