:shaq: negging nikkaz for opinion is the shyt i dont like

Well doing that sorta makes sense and sorta doesn't. I mean, you shouldn't just pull the trigger on a guy that disagrees with you but on the flip side some people may make some really outlandish statements that just makes you wanna neg.

That's why I wear grey, because at the end of the day negs don't mean sh1t.

Focus on my post and not the rep bar. :jawalrus:

Soulja Boy > Sugarhill Gang and Kurtis Blow as far as rapping ability goes. This is a fact. Everyone should respect people that paved the way but the line has to be drawn somewhere. When dudes say shyt like : "Ooooh better watch out for KRS-1, he'll end your career!" :shaq2: I mean, word? Do motherfukkers really believe that? T.I. will smash him on the mic and then punch him in his big ass nose but post that on a message board somewhere and it's blasphemy. So you're really telling me that Rakim is nicer on the mic than Big Sean? Why? Just because he raps about spiritual and lyrical-diabolical-malignant-cancerous-westerners? :dwillhuh: Get the fukk out of here.

Stopped reading after the bolded text.

I appreciate the sentiment, but so what? Rakim was considered the GOAT in his prime. Which means that he was the best of the best of old school rappers, correct? Now listen back to that freestyle and tell me that he's even top 30 today, and please don't lie to yourself. Once again, just so we're clear, I know what his place in history is and what he meant for Hip-Hop in general, so please don't respond with: "Oh, but without Rakim there wouldn't be a so and so", because I know. I'm talking about - is he nice compared to today's cats? The answer is no. He gave people a style and they did it bigger and better than he ever could. That's natural progression. That's how things work.

Of course Rakim is Top 30 today. "Today" being music that has been released in last several years of course. Don't make me school you on music you haven't heard yet.

I seriously doubt that you could "school" me. The thing you elitist fukks don't get is the fact that I know just as much if not more about Hip-Hop as you do. Just because I shytted all over your opinion doesn't mean that I haven't listened to the same shyt you have.:aicmon:
