It's pretty simple breh. Rapper A led the blueprint and foundation to get to Rapper B. Without Rapper A Rapper B wouldn't exist. You can't try to discredit the pioneers to prop up people that used them to get a leg up. I look at it like how Aristotle is still respected even though he doesn't have half the knowledge of scientists today and some of the things he thought turned out to be false. He still laid the ground work to make what we have today exist.
On another note, rappers of today are supposed to be better then them. We are supposed to progressively get better as we go on and rappers learn what doesn't work and perfect techniques, but somehow it all got stagnated and it's very debatable if they are even close to be on the same tier, much less being better

kurtis blow? Sugarhill Gang? Melle Mel? Those are my daddies rappers...we all respect 'em, but we're aware of their limitations. They were just playing with a brand new art form, why are u picking on em? Nobody reps them around here as Goats. All their fans are pushin' 50, gawddamn.
