As a former journalism grad, she knew full well that she is stirring the pot when making a comment. And she also understands that she gains media exposure by being involved in some kind of controversy. It keeps her name out there.
Today, many female movie and music stars have stories intentionally floated about them regarding nude photos, boyfriend splits and injury. The goal is to keep the name in the mind of people and create a demand for information about the celeb. I don't think that she innocently reacted to Demovski's story. I think her paid publicist advised her to stir the pot by going after Demovski, in an effort at a great PR return. And I believe that Rodgers was a full player in her effort!
