If they don't get any fights they have to relinquish their title. Usually 6 months, just boycott them for 6 months and you good again.
I feel like you are deliberately trying to act like you have no ability to fight this, and just going through the outrage motions, You don't need to rile people up if you can solve the problem pretty easily.
