Isn't this just a Die Hard 1 rehash?

Every action movie that has come out since Die Hard is pretty much a Die Hard rehash. Using the same beats, plot devices etc etc. It's just not as overt as this one.

"Die Hard in the White House" is pretty much what Hollywood producers were calling this script and "White House Down".

Die Hard is considered the perfect action movie. It's a template for all screenwriters.

GTFOH movie was weak IMO. and it definitely shouldn't be compared to 24 in anyway, the amount of shytty one-liners in this movie was insane. not to mention, it looked like a propaganda piece :usure:
Dylan McDermott was awful, he even died shyttily. :aicmon: my gf liked it, but i felt like i wasted my time/money seeing this trashmovie.

movie was ass and really over the top...so im supposed to believe North Korea will fly across the ATLANTIC mind you, take the long route, in a GIANT B-52 Bomber looking thing undetterred into us airspace.... mind you all the way to DC just because they painted the letters USAF on it...LOL

the acting was cartoonish...movie was more like independence day then anything... red dawn status (t he latest one).... not realistic at all..it's a cheap die hard rip off in the white house...the theatre was laughing at all the unintentional comedy
agree with what was said, cept that was an AC-130. COD style :laff:

This movie was better than I expected. G.Butler was on some Liam Nieson Taken type shyt.:bustback:

The way they took the White House had me like:ohhh:

That shyt could really happen, no lie. It makes you realize that with effective force, taking the White House wouldn't actually be that hard.:yeshrug:

And they say its the most protected building in the world. A random facility on a military base would be as hard to take over given the faster response time and reinforcements.

Lol at my Call of Duty references coming into my head in the beginning, didn't wanna be THAT a$$hole and say them outloud

Had to turn around and give a lil asian kid the:birdman: look for kicking my chair halfway thru tho

Decent movie though for what it is, I give it *** out of 5 Stars:yes:

When Banner screamed "RPG!!!"....I burst out laughing. Definitely a COD influenced movie with the Hunter Killer Drone being randomly deployed by the Korean on top of the White House, as well as the "sentry gun" being unstoppable, the K9 unit getting shot, and the stealth chopper at the beginning taking everyone down:salute:

I guess nobody had an EMP grenades for the sentry gun:manny:

An AC-130 gonna really make it that far in to restricted air space? :aicmon: commercial airlines would get taken down if they even gotten that close. (nevermind how they even got it that far in the first place...because you aren't just going to steal a military aircraft from a base without causing a national incident, and there's no way it flew across the borders and got passed the Navy and/or homeland security lmao)

SAM turrets only had one shot/one opportunity to take it down as well? :stopitslime:

The military officials and cabinet members didnt know about that advanced turret?

All the members that knew the nuclear codes where kept in the same locations? And as an aside, if you have that responsibility you can't give those codes up even with some torture or the threat of losing your life or whatever.

If you suspend belief, its a good popcorn flick. Lots of pot holes though.

I mean breh... the koreans did have an ex secret service agent helping them so it was sort of an inside job. Once you have the protocol you can exploit weaknesses.

For example, on 9/11 when NORAD scrambled jets to go after the hijacked air planes they immediately flew east to the atlantic because that's what they were trained to do. they also performed those attacks during military exercises so the military didn't know if shyt was real or fake. That bought the hijackers just enough time to hit those buildings and flight 93 would've reached the white house had the passengers not brought it down.

With the nuclear codes, only 3 people had them so you have set up a situation where all of them are at the same place at the same time.

yep...for everybody that say 9-11 was a inside job...look at this movie...how many koreans let alone regular ass people know it would take 15mins for military help at the white house...

if u think it cant happen...look at 9-11..nobody in the normal world that shyt was gone happen monday 9-10-01...

hell 9-11..i wasnt thinkin the towers comin down or the pentago..

i thinkin bout gangsta boo in the booth on rap city...

....its a reason why all of sudden weeks prior to this release...the white house jus up and cancel all tours......when u seen what happen in the movie...

Just saw it today and it was as good as 24. It had a few obvious head scratching things, like Cerebus being in the White House instead of the Pentagon or Norad, but it was still very enjoyable.
