Koalabama and the Cosmos
the greatest match ever to me is still nakamura vs ibushi from wk9

ive seen it atleast 10 times and never gets old

It hurt when I picked Omega/Okada over it :mjcry:

I swear NJPW matches are like trying to decide which one of your kids is your favorite:to:

No, its not overrated.

This did not deserve its own thread when there are 2 other long threads about it

Attention whoring at its finest worst

1 star thread, and that is overrating it

Honestly posting from my phone haven't posted about the match at all and haven't seen those threads but call it what you will

This my thread now

Any of you crehbois planning on going to that NJPW show in Cali in July?

New Japan owner Takaaki Kidani stated that the reason they are running the 7/1 and 7/2 shows in Long Beach is: “The reason why we decided to go to US is what WWE did to us one year ago. I’m really frustrated. That’s the reason.”

I plan on going both days. I'm hoping they don't sell out. I'm sure there are hardcore fans from North America that plan on making the trip.

Devils advocate for a sec here, I could see why someone might say 6 stars is overrated , cause the match was just a really all-time great 5-star match but to give it 6 stars is like saying it's revolutionary and fukking redefined pro wrestling forever.

I think anything rated 5+ stars deserves a review in a year to see if it still holds up

I still don't get why people get so upset about people calling this match overrated when the consensus is that it was a at the very least a really good match. That's HUGE praise in this day and age. When the talk ranges from "really good" to "GOAT" that's pretty awesome for a match.

Match reminded me of the old Kings Road matches from all Japan. The reason it differs from the usual WWE finisherspamfest is because the emotion and desperation to win was front and center. Two guys went out and beat the shyt out of each other not to outdo the other but to just fukking win. You dont get that drama from mainstream matches often so on calling the match overrated id give that a big "fukk NO!"

To me, it was more similar to late King's Road matches, which isn't the GOAT shyt ever. Something like Suwama vs Akiyama was more close to that level imo. But whatever.
