On average, what's a good price for a Blu Ray Player?

On average, how much does a decent or basic Blu Ray Player cost? I've noticed that they can range from 80 something dollars up to over a 100 something dollars. Why is that? Special features? What's a good price for a basic one? Also, what's the difference between LG and HD?
