I worked in the Almalfi Coast/Naples area with southern Italians. They were very different from the Northern Italians and Western Europeans in terms of complexion, culture, rhythm and attitude. Very passionate people, loud, easy going, religious and remind me of poor black Americans in urban centers. They were also darker. They also took mad cigarette/coffee (expresso) breaks too. Also, like breh and brehettes (as well as Hispanics and Chinese) they were always 15-40 minutes late for my training classes and did not give 2 shyts. Would walk in laughing eating biscotti and shyt (would offer me some though). Everything was "va bene" to them with no fukks given. Stark comparison to Austrians and Germans who were punctual if not early and quite reserved, structured, cold, and less animated. Don't know their entire history but they are not ordinary caucasians and annoyed the fukk out of me until I mastered people/diversity skills. Nothing chaps my ass than being late for something.
