On the Clipse Lord Willin' Intro, when does Pusha stop and Malice start?

I'm in the camp that insists Pusha and Malice sounded different, especially as time went on. But on that very first track I've never been able to tell when one starts and the other stops, besides counting out 24 bars. If that's how it is then Malice starts off saying "I even went by the rules at first..." Also the flow seems to change a little bit so I'm guessing that's it?

Hijacking this thread but I still don't understand why Push has always been held in such higher regard. These dudes sound just alike and it's not like Push was more lyrical or something. I never understood why Pusha got all the fan fare.
No one misses Malice at all.

Pusha has more personality and always been the more flashy one...so he stood out

Malice always looked awkward in their videos

They sounded more different from each other after the first album. But you could usually tell by the flow and topics. Malice usually was a little more introspective and more of a story teller.

I can understand why someone might say Pusha would be overrated. IMO if he had just made less material he might not be seen that way. He just never changed his style that much, so at a certain point you got that "Well, I've heard this before" feeling. I always thought he was really dope. Cool flow, slick lines, picked good production, and had a nice little lane.

Malice was nicer on Lord Willin

P passed dude up on hhnf and aint looked back since. anyone who says otherwise just simply wants to slight Push since hes the more popular of the two

comparing current malice to current push is like comparing rapper big pooh to phonte. but Lord Willin definitely belonged to Malice. his verse on Im not you :wow:

Malice gets acclaim as the more lyrical half of the duo , wasn't he offered a deal at roc nation ?? I remember them bragging in an interview about how Hov was a huge clipse fan

I agree on Pusha surpassing him on HHNF.

I haven't heard current No Malice (I guess is his name now?) but I guess I'll skip. Last time I really heard Malice was on Till The Casket Drops.

And yeah. Malice's verse on I'm Not You is one of the more slept on verses of the 00's.

Side note. I always thought it was unfair to compare Phonte and Pooh. Phonte has arguably been a top 10 rapper on the planet for a decade or so now, so you could've put anyone else in LB and just as many people would've said they weren't as dope as Phonte. Pusha and Malice at all points in time weren't that far apart in skill, even when Pusha was better. At least during their first 3 albums and the 3 Re-Up Gang tapes.

Definitely agree with all this, but Ill say this... judging from their last couple solo projects (even including Til the Casket Drops) the gap between them is as big as its EVER been

but speaking of Reup Gang, Sandman aka Sandcannon used to BOOOOODY those joints :whoo:

Wish they never fell out.. We Got it for Cheap was that work
