Drake: Thank Me Later
Inspired by rap and R&B in equal measure, Drake becomes the first of the post-Kanye, emo-y rappers to fully deliver on his debut LP.
That's a lot of typing for a album u don't like lolVery boring album with too many features because he didnt have the starpower and talent to do it himself. It was a wack album. Couldnt listen to the album in its entirety. At one point he had a song where he kept repeating the word long over a wack ass beat which was an album cut and that was it for me. Forgettable. I dont think ive ever heard a drake album that was good tbh. His songs even arent that good. His best song was with rick ross (the song with the sade sample).
Lets talk about how he underperformed sales wise with this album so much that they literally ushered in the streaming business because of the Drizzler. Thats why when Take Care came out, they started counting streams for albums. All to just help Drake succeed and look like a bigger star than what he was. Lets not forget the streaming farms that was out there to boost those streams up.they were expecting Fake to go 5 times platnium with his debut trash album and he barely went platnium hard copy cd sales in 2010.
so they went all out with Take Care. That was the weeknd's album allegedly and with them counting streams, Fake cheated his way to the top. In other words, his success was ALWAYS manufactured like his buzz. Drake is a industry plant that has always been protected from failure because lets be real here, he never had the talent to begin with so it had to come from other people.
