in that order.

DTR is debatable but I feel Teflon Don was more polished and felt bigger yet still hard

I remember the anticipation for this was crazyy

Album was fire. There was a lot of good cut tracks too. I think once Puff got involved it changed the scope of the album.

15 years already????

We still ate good off of mixtapes back. Gucci came home before school let out and we started hearing Waka Flocka more. I still bumping OJ and Gucci.

2010 was a crazy summer looking back.

My Dad was out on bail for a gun charge and I used to be on his computer downloading mixtapes.

Everyone had something for everyone that summer.

You can’t deny that Ross had a better album than Drake.

Teflon Don was when Ross revitalized his sound and stop using the Cool & Dre formula that them Florida nikkas we’re using for a good couple years and started uitlizing Justice League and Lex Luger.

Deeper Than Rap >>>> Teflon Don if we being honest

I can’t disagree with this take…

Deeper Than Rap was the album that was supposed to do what Teflon Don did.

Album was good but it came out during the transitional era of Def Jam.

It didn’t get as much love for these reasons

1. Shakir Stewart “mysteriously” passed away and he was very hands on with Ross. Triple C’s album belly flopped.

2. Ross picked a fight with 50 and lost the battle before it started. Everyone was clowning Ross and didn’t believe he was gonna beat 50. It’s crazy how some of d-riders ended up working with Ross down the line(Game and Jim Jones). Most of Ross’ tracks to 50 were doo doo except In Cold Blood. I’m still mad at Ross for butcher the “Special Delivery” beat.

3. Ross’ dirty laundry was getting out there. Trick Daddy was getting at him too. I really think that Trick leaked those photos and not 50.

4. Ross was out here sipping double cups during this time and was losing his mind as revealed in
his book.

Thank God that he went back to the drawing board and fixed his errors and got back on track.

Ross signed Meek and Wale as a power move.

Meek better not be dissing Ross either. He saved his life and would have been Joey Jihad/Tone Trump status if Ross didn’t polish him up.

He really doesnt. Everything he released after Teflon Don was mid or worse.

I revisited Mastermind and Hood Billionaire and they sound better now than they did 10 years ago….

Hood Billionaire sounds like it would fit in today’s climate.

Ross’ catalog started to show chinks in his armor once he signed with Epic and wasn’t getting that much of a push.

Def Jam used their power to push him while there.

The industry got behind him more once he aligned himself with Diddy
