It doesn't feel like it anymore because any role player that overperforms especially in the playoffs ends up getting the bag of money thrown at them. After they get signed to massive contracts too much pressure gets put on them and they become disappointments trying to do too much and flame out.Big Shot Bob.

Look at a player like OG Anonoby he's the perfect example of this. A very good 3 and D stoic defensive player who doesn't seem to get any pressure in big moments. But because you throw 200 million at a guy like that the fanbase gets disappointed no matter what he does.

Pop should have kept Duncan in the game in Game 6 to get a rebound and there is no Game 7Duncan blew a point blank tip-in at the end of regulation in game five to win the game but Horry bailed his ass out. We all know what happened eight years later though
