“Once Again” John Legend Appreciation

My favorite male R&B album (aside from aijuswannasing) of all time. Heaven, Show Me, Stereo, Each Day Gets Better, Where Did My Baby Go, PDA...so many slappers, clearly JL’s best album. Get Lifted is cool but once again took things to the next level. Less of that annoying growling technique he did on the first album. Sadly, JL started catering to cacs with garbage like “all of me”. But this album still gets heavy play from me.

If they had given it proper promo it could’ve been the modern update to The Girl from Ipanema, as soon as I heard it I was instantly reminded of the song.

I don’t get how he changed direction so much but this was also my fav album of his, I have the CD lying around somewhere.

Once again is probably my favorite JL album, aside from Love In The Future (yeah I think it’s underrated).. but the album isn’t THAT good to be considered top 2.

He definitely fell off after this. Didn’t like Stereo or Show Me but the rest is on point. Gonna listen to it now..Again and Another Again

He’s still a success but I felt like his impact musically could’ve been bigger if he stuck to his guns instead of going the pop route.
