scust at yall thinking Reasonable Doubt was more respected than the Fugees in 96. Remember they both had 4 turned 5 mics in the Source.
No one else on the list was even that respected in 96.

Why was that? They were on a major and I don't remember ever seeing a UGK video.Revisionist

1) First off, it takes years for things to be classic. That doesn't mean anything
2) Reasonable Doubt got 4 mics. Which is highly regarded at the time, you're trying to pass it off like it was considered an "okay" album which is far from the truth. And you completely ingore in the review it says "Jay has great MCing skills and great beats" and they mostly slam the album for being misogynistic lol. come on man. A woman probably wrote that review and it still got 4 mics. You wanna know how many albums we consider clsssics now got worse ratings than 4 mics? Common's Resurrection got 3 and a half, Soul on Ice got like 3 mics.
The Score got 4 mics and retroactively got 5 just like Reasonable Doubt too. Plus sold more.
r&b sold the score
thats the point I was trying to make, its more than a hip-hop album. Its actually bigger considering it transcended Hip-Hop/R&B and was World music as well.
Don't forget white people.r&b sold the score

Ive never heard riding dirty
Bun b is nice tho I should check that album out soon
The fugees should stay off the strength of this one song alone
we're talking hip-hop here.
are we talking biggest or best?thats why it shouldnt even be on this list.
but if we are going to talk the biggest albums of 96 period...then yes. The Score is up there.

are we talking biggest or best?![]()
