Is anyone really surprised? Against the layman, anything works. But against pro's who've understood for decades now, what really works...its child's play. Bruce Lee knew this back then. The one inch punch is cute, but the takedown and ground and pound, is what actually works.
My boxing coaches did drills like this with us to work on or footwork and defense. Nice footwork makes you faster and more powerful as 1-2 second delays chasing a pro fighter can prove disastrous...this was the case here.
