:mjlol: @ "Easily" Jay, I'm surprised he isn't way out in front considering how much he's hated on here.
First off, music is ENTERTAINMENT, content is ONE OF THE (NOT THE) deciding factor on how great an artist is but is still in minority stake in the grand scheme of things.
Jay does not have the content of Nas, or Cube, but they can NEVER put out a show like Jay put out last month, they simply just don't have that kind of discography as an ENTERTAINER - the most important element of music(objectively). That show made me realise how underrated Jay is, I am guilty of this too.
And for the love of God, Nas does not have a bigger impact on hiphop than Jay. Pac does, cube arguably. You can trace the elements of Jay's impact directly on a lot of today's artists, starting from the Wayne/TI/Kanye Trident who branched out to pretty much every rap star you have today (For better or worse) you can't say the same for Nas.
Objectively, all things considered, there's no way you can say that any of those four can be "easily" disposed when considering their overall contributions to the culture without any bias.
