lol @ people downplaying dmx in here. how many of yall voting dmx were actually around back then?

he only had 2 good albums now? he was only hot for 2 years?

"and then there was x" was bigger than anything tip or wayne ever did, but according to you dweebs, he was washed up and gone before that album came out.

and "grand champ" holds more weight than anything those 2 have done in the past 9 or 10 years.
the great depression had "who we be". whens the last time wayne or tip had a hit like that?

and yall need to get your conversion tables together & realize that youre giving high marks to tip & wayne because youre grading on a curve. cuz all eras arent created equal and the game aint the same. dudes like wayne & tip are still "relelvant" because of their celebrity and the way theyre forced into the limelight. you couldnt get by like that when rap was legit.

Wayne. How the fucc you gonna have a run at the top without any classics? Wayne don't know how to write and it's keeping him from being listed with the greatest as time goes on. nikka can rap his ass off, but he needs to learn song structure. The other problem Wayne has is every verse about shooting nikkas and p*ssy. No real concepts outside of those two at all. When you really listen you realize all Wayne songs about the same shyt:francis:

Wayne can't even rap period

And then there was x was actually bigger than his first two albums sales wise. :wow:
If you ask me the first one was his only great album, but he's levels above Wayne and TI.

Don't know if this has been said but would TI or Wayne held the crown or had a decent run in the era Funk Doc & X came from? I doubt it.

TI might've gone the way of mic Geronimo or cool breeze :francis:

And I actually liked breeze and Geronimo too but that period was too competitive

I've got more memories to Tip, X and Wayne so it's gotta be Red. He shouldn't be in this pole though he's from a different generation of hip hop to the other 3.

Wayne has been involved with too many cmr classics for me to get rid of. Looks like ti has to go cause I've never bumped any of his shyt as much as the other 3. Red damn sure isn't going anywhere based off of his first 3 releases and skill set. X is better than ti too. No brainer for me bye tip, Clifford, or whatever the fukk you go by nowadays.
