Yeah, it's a matter of opinion, which begs the question of why even make an argument for what's classic and what isn't. What's undeniable though is that Futuresex/Lovesounds had more impact and influence than any CB album.

I disagree, it was a album and sonic teme that is dated.

neither does what you typed, so what?

So Kanye saying that his album wouldn't sound like it sounds without JT's Futuresex/Lovesounds isn't impact and influence? That entire team being sought out for albums and hit songs isn't impact and influence?

A flavor of the month sounds, isn't what I would classify as a classic.

Flavor of the month? The Kanye album came out a year later as did a lot of the songs they produced with that sound. J. Cole's song came out a decade after "Cry Me A River" and he used it as a comparison to what became his biggest song. Hardly flavor of the month. Flavor of the month is what Chris Brown does.

Kanye and J Cole are R&B singers?
Nope they aren't.

Idon't think CB is great, but he is better easily than Timberlake

And again, them not being R&B singers speaks volumes of the impact and influence that album had. It had reach beyond just Pop and R&B. Beyoncé is an R&B singer and she has songs that are co-written and co-produced by Justin Timberlake. I listed Ciara as well.

I know you really like Timberlake, but no I don't agree with you at all.

Breh, it's not a matter of which one I like more. I approach these "One Gotta Go" threads more or less with a "which one of these artists would music be different without" and/or "which artist influenced the others on the list" (these are the artists that I'm definitely not getting rid of). In this case, Bobby Brown, Usher, and Ginuwine definitely don't go. It came down to CB and JT and of the two, CB is expendable for the exact reasons in my initial post:

Chris Brown goes with ease. It's not that he's wack. I think he's made some dope songs. He's the odd ball out because he doesn't have that one definitive song or album. With Usher, you have Confessions and songs from 8701, Confessions, or even albums like Looking For Myself and Raymond vs. Raymond that qualify. Bobby Brown has Don't Be Cruel and "My Perogative". Ginuwine has The Bachelor and "Pony". Justin Timberlake has Futuresex/Lovesounds and "Cry Me A River". These are songs and albums that have been influential on other artists and had huge impact when they came out. They were beyond just hit songs, but time tested.

The other thing is that besides dancing, there's not one thing that he's better at. Bobby's a better singer. He also at the very least co-writes and co-produces his own music. Usher's a better singer than Chris. His catalog is also better. Ginuwine's a better singer. He's also written and produced his own music. I give the edge to Chris over JT in the singing department. Justin writes, plays instruments, and produces giving him the edge overall.

Timberlake got three classics IMO, so def not him...Chris makes that teeny booper shyt nowadays...he's a better performer, but that don't really make a difference if you don't want to hear the shyt he's performing...he could have a Motown 25 moment for all I care, but if he's doin it to bytches & Marijuana, nobody will give a shyt...
