powerful thread, but jay needs to check his math. the GOAT dropped 2 classics and 1 solid album over a period of 7 years. Nastradamus actually got burn in the streets - even if it wasn't critically acclaimed.

jay was better than nas but with age nas has actually become better

you can still take nas serious since he always spoke like a wise man

with life is good he showed people how to make a mature rap album

jay has never been as deep as nas and now that he try to sound like a grown man with all this "duality" babble he comes off corny as shyt. coupled with the fact he's 50 and makes techno/dubstep rap. fail.

nas >>>> jay

AG is a hot album fam :comeon:

AG was more than ehhhhhh:comeon:
that concept brehs? :ld:

the story of the American Gangster album is hilarious. Dude really thought that when Frank confronted Nicky in that club, "Roc Boys" would be playing in the background. :heh:

And going from telling everyone he a grown up on Kingdom Come to making a concept album that sounds very similar to his 90s albums. :dead:

So we see ur arbitrary criteria soo since u want ur criteria to be related to non musical factors I can do u one better fam

If we take that most people constitute hot as being "popular" or "runnin the streets"

Nas aint have a hot album in almost a decade

While Bp3 was hot
MCHG is hot
and TBA was hot

AG not so much but it was hotter than Nas' albums :umad:

At no point was Jay ever better than Nas, and I'm a Jay fan as well

Ag is a great album, a personal classic to me, I'd even say it's better than BP1. BP3 is trash, WTT is forgettable, MCHG is ok, haven't listened to it in weeks, KC is an album that I do like, so this doesn't hold true to Jay.
