So would y'all still be acting this way if y'all got swept by the Cavs but Casey was coaching his ass off (which he was doing last year in the ECF)? I'm not sure what y'all are really outraged about, losing to the Cavs or the realization that y'all just aren't good enough
We've been watching Casey for long enough to understand his numerous deficiencies as a tactician. This team has been poorly prepared for every playoff series he has coached. That's not to say he hasn't made some good coaching decisions, the issue is his propensity to not recognize what's not working until his team is in a big hole which he always helps to dig. He doesn't know when to use timeouts to cull opposing team's momentum. He sticks to rigid rotation patterns even game flow dictate otherwise (see Game 3 vs Cavs, starting the 4th Q with most of your starters on the bench, including Derozan and JV who were the only guys scoring). He doesn't create an offensive system in which his team can create easy baskets. He doesn't help develop players to become smarter or more efficient. Etc. Etc.

However he coached a few gems in last year's playoffs--games 5-7 versus Miami and the two games we won against Cleveland. So, he's performed well in five out of a lot more than five playoff games he's coached. That's not something to praise.

The last time a team manned the fukk up. Ya'll might as well be calling him daddy talkin about ya'll just gonna curl up in a corner and wait for him to retire
You're missing the point completely. The fact is that in order to beat Lebron at this stage of his career you need to have a transcendent player on your team. The Raptors have no such player and likely won't acquire one through trades and free agency, so either you wait til Lebron fades a bit so you can beat him with this current core or you rebuild through the draft and hope to find a guy so special that you can beat him.

I don't think you guys understand how good Lebron really is. And this current version of Lebron is the best version of him I've ever seen. Let's put it this way--the Warriors went out and added the 2nd best player in the league because they couldn't finish off a series they led 3-1 with Curry who is a top five player who was having a legendary season, several other all-stars and a team that featured 7 lottery picks. Lebron is really good.

That cat really got yall shook huh :hhh:

it aint just them, he got the league shook...i get it, it's the cool thing to dislike the man and talk down on what he's done, but the proof is in the pudding...people/teams make moves based on beating bron....and right now, the answers are hope for an injury, wait him out, or create a deep, talented team....

This.

Casey is the type of coach who will get you to the playoffs, but you are not winning a ring with him as your coach. As a defense-minded coach, this team's defense has been mad average, and time and time again, he has always been slow to make defensive adjustments until the team is in a hole in the playoffs. His offensive schemes have been laughable for the most part. Perfect example has been his reluctance to get JV his touches even when he's rolling and has a matchup that he can exploit. And I am sick of watching this team get blown out on the road in the playoffs. Yes, the players should be held accountable, but it's also up to the coach to have his guys ready to play on the road in a hostile environment. During the last few years in the playoffs, when we are on the road, I expect the Raps to be blown out. There is something wrong there. Casey has taken this team as far as he can - we need a change and a new voice.
