There isn't a coach in the league that could beat the Cavs with the Raptors squad, they have more shooting this year than last and the whole idea of the Raptors hanging with them was predicated around their defense being bad. They turned it up defensively and the Raptors have absolutely no way of stopping their offense, the Cavs are taking their foot off the gas and still getting to 115 with ease. They are scoring easier this year than they did last year, last I checked their offensive rating for the series was something like 122 or some shyt, last year it was 118.

@Miggs thought I was buggin for saying the Cavs would rather play the Raptors in the 2nd round as opposed to the Wiz. But the Raptors play at the Cavs pace and don't really push the tempo.

Breh, it is not about the Raps beating the Cavs. It is about just being competitive. This is the best team Casey has had. D wise O wise. And yet Open 3's for the cavs all day. Same old Horns, Iso's and pick and rolls from the Raps even tho Cleveland is trapping before the raps can get to the PR, double teaming Demar. Yet no adjustments. Never mind not knowing when to call a TO when the Land is about to go on a run, that is on coaching. I get what your saying, I just cannot back Casey anymore.

I am done with Casey breh, I am not hearing anything else, I am done.

I understand that, but it's not like the series was close last year, even though yall won 2 games it was the biggest point differential in ECF history :francis: Your defense is the big problem, those open threes are coming because yall are spaced out, the Cavs offense is basically damned if you do, damned if you don't, it's built with forcing you to defend LeBron with no help. They basically have an offense that's on some "Go on send that help and we hit the three, don't send help he gonna take a layup  " And since Carroll is so light weight he can't guard him which means an undersized Powell has to do it which isn't even fair, and Tucker is just too slow.

Offensively the issue is Demar, if he could shoot the three your offense would open up a lot more because he'd be a threat to do something without the ball. Right now he can't really play off the ball, and when he doesn't have it you basically don't have to guard him when he's at the 3 line. Your offense is built around a dude from 1988.

Honestly, I don't really disagree with much of your post. Tho the bolded is going to make me go off topic a bit.

It is kinda Crazy for the gym rat Demar is, he never developed a 3. For a chucker like Demar, he never chucks it from 3. Kinda crazy. It also is crazy how the 3 has taken over the NBA.

It's not that easy of a shot, especially if you grew up not taking it, Wade doesn't really take them much. You just gotta take them, Bron from jump was firing up threes even though he wasn't really that good at it for several years of his career, he would still fire them shyts up regardless and sometimes he'd get hot. Demar shot it so-so last year and actually took 3 a game, this year he just reverted back to not shooting them and when he did it was a travesty :francis:

The 3 ball taking over just made sense because of how teams started to use zone principles to stifle offense.

What is the answer on defense? The Cavs have scored 30 or more in 7 of the 12 quarters, their offense has actually been better this year than last, but they cannot slow down the Cavs offense.

I'll tell you what it isn't. ...putting Norm,DeMar or Ibaka on an island.

Cavs are shooting at an unprecedented level yet there isn't much resistance on a lot of what they're doing...Casey doesn't challenge you when ur hot with different looks...Cavs are getting easy looks in this series.

I don't think they care who they match up with 2nd or 3rd round...they know they're not losing to whomever,I disregard that point as much as they were avoiding the Bulls.

Actually the most obvious issue is we can't hit a 3 and a lot of them are just open misses....

Breh, the Cavs are shooting at unprecedented levels because their shooters are better this year, Korver has gravity just being on the court even if he's not taking anything and most importantly LeBron has turned into Curry in the playoffs. When he's shooting the way he's shooting there is nothing you can do to stop him, and he murdered a better defender in PG than you have on your team. Their offense is just all-time levels right now, even last year once they found their groove vs the Warriors they were hanging 120+ ORTGs on them.

I don't think they care who they match up with 2nd or 3rd round...they know they're not losing to whomever,I disregard that point as much as they were avoiding the Bulls.

They aren't afraid of anyone in the East, but playing YALL was a lot more preferable than playing the Wiz who will run a lot and push the pace faster than what the Cavs want. The Cavs can win that style but it's more taxing than just playing half court ball vs yall.

Casey needs to go either way, dude has done a terrible job at utilizing Jonas. And he took too long with Norman. I am not going to fault the man for the superstars though, they just dont show up in playoffs and are inconsistent. Any coach can't solve that.
