Dap + Rep...my favorite song from them

As a whole album I always thought Fly or Die was their best. It had the rock vibe to it that threw a lot of people off but it was the most cohesive sounding imo

I'm going to listen to both Fly or Die and Seeing Sounds back to back (it's been awhile) and come back to your post for a more astute breakdown of both albums. The thing that I remember most about Seeing Sounds that stood out to me from the rest of their albums, including Fly or Die, is that it didn't sound like they were trying to infuse elements of different genres/sub-genres to come up with a sound that encompasses what people labeled & thought that they SHOULD be, or sound like given their past efforts.

Seeing Sounds was something that sounded like they collectively went into the studio and let their creativity just flow without any boundaries - for ex, the song "Sooner or Later" is damn near 7 minutes long and half of it is them playing with different instrumentation, synths, and sounds as the outro precludes... I love that album because I can't put it into a box of what it truly is - every song literally sounds like AT LEAST two songs in one because of the different bridges & melodies they were using on each track...... It really sounds like nothing that I've heard before, but at the same time, they didn't compromise themselves. It's hard to describe how I feel about it, other than the shyt's amazing :wow:...

Dope perspective! Ima run through them tomorrow on my trip back to va beach (ironically). Sooner or later is another favorite...played that song so much I knew each drum fill during the 3 min instrumental breakdown :wow:

The bold is how I felt about Fly or Die - with the one catch that they went in the studio with the question "what if we made a pure alternative rock album?"

No song feels out of place on either album honestly. Maybe it just depends on what mood or type of music I feel like listening to.
They can both be #1:mjcry:

Dapped every post in here mentioning how incredible Seeing Sounds is. Real nikkas will know that Nothing had a few gems on it aswell. There is a version of Party People which hit the net officially without TI which is fukking dope. Much better than the official TI version itself. Also that "Inside the Clouds" song is fukking perfection.

I'd spend anything to see these nikkas perform in London.

Anything :mjcry:

Remember seeing them on the glow in the dark tour. First time I was really introduced to them. Seeing Sounds is one of the first albums I grab when the summer rolls up.
