Be a whistleblower for what? Unless you can prove intent nothing is going to happen. The fact that there are systemic differences (not just gender but race as well) is already well-documented and lawsuits in that direction generally sputter because they can pay you what they want so long as it is within agreed-upon contracts and disparate outcome alone isn't enough to win a pay lawsuit.

Garnishments and child support? I've seen it a bit at a couple of the clients I audit ( manufacturing, distributing, etc). It's usually with the lower paid positions, which tend to be high turnover.

I agree OP. It also opens up your eyes to true realization that women are underpaid compared to men for doing the same exact job.

I work in banking and I see women daily making six figures. I'd say 85-90% of the files I get are women making more than theirs husbands or close to the same.

The discrepancy isn't as great as I previously believed.
