nah. that schooly d song birthed "gangsta rap". it absolutely has to be #1.

my favorite joint however is jazzy jeff & fresh prince "brand new funk". way too low on the list.

list is okay but the order is crazy. It seems like the young dikkriders at the site just tried to please people. Putting shyt like Meek Mill that high and some of those Eve and Cassidy songs higher than 3x Dope - Greatest Man Alive is just crazy. Greatest Man Alive and Brand New Funk etc should be higher but you can tell they wanted to break up the list so the artists weren't clumped together.

As a joke they should have one extra slot for the Krown Rulers - Kick The Ball. Older philly heads will get that. One of the best Philly songs ever even though it's from Camden. lol


edit.. Just saw that Tuff Crew - My Part of Town wasn't on there. Or any Tuff Crew song. That makes the whole list a joke. No matter how commercial or diverse they were going for that's a GIGANTIC fukk up.

I couldn't stand Roc Da Mic, even though its a hit. I wouldn't have it in the Top 10 at all, Overall...even with the effed up order, some omissions..this is an excellent history lesson on Philly Hip-Hop.

I'd add Jamal - Keep It Real, The Roots (Respond/React; Proceed, Adrenaline), RAM (Doe Stacks), Ms Jade (Gangster), Figgas & B Mac (P-H-I-L-L-Y), Chris, Mac & Free (Last Two), 100X (Paper Chase) surprised no one mentioned them yet, Philly's Most (Suckas), Charli Baltimore (Stand Up) but her best song is 100 Miles From Baltimore, MAYBE Eve & Mac - Remember them Days...if there would be anything from her....Meek In My Bag, Pretty Ugly (Come On) I'd also say Cassidy Barz vs Hustla or whatever its called. That's 13 unfortunately there aren't 13 songs that need to come off....So Journalist (When It Comes to the Ish) and Reef don't make it...Last Emp doesn't make it either...it's really hard to pinpoint his best song and would it top a list.

Off course this is only signed people because our street ish would change the list completely. Nobody really liked Takedown (Bugsy was okay but...) this track is a BANGER
