I looked into getting some hens. There like $2 each. The coup is like $100. Would honestly pay for itself especially if I can sell to my neighbors.

To be honest it's coming to a point things are so pricey. It'd make sense to start a co operative farm somewhere with friends and then supply yourselves with the food from it.

The way things are trending it's not looking good for food prices for our kids and grandkids. Start something now and it will grow so they don't have to worry about food. More importantly for now so you can have food at reasonable prices. In the future people gonna be priced out of everything.

My mama is growing chickens. Has eggs, has goats somewhere random, sheep. They reproduce and become more. Growing her own vegetables. I'm about to get in on it just so I can stock my fridge at the beginning of the month and not complain about being over charged for shyt and stuff being put in my food.

I think the major thing that happened was the birds caught bird flu and they had to kill half the flock that's why eggs prices went crazy last time.:francis:

I do some growing in the summer. I’m interested in the hens and have even thought about a pig. I went to a pumpkin patch with my kids and the farmer had an option to sell you a cow/pig and he raise and slaughter it when you’re ready. Thought about that too. I just don’t have anyone with experience in farming I can really talk to.
