All those protests only reinforced to Trump and company that more aggressive policing was needed. He had to be talked down from letting loose the military on the protests that year. He literally suggested that the military shoot protesters.
Time will tell with Biden if that administration chooses to go down the road of police reform, but I personally don't see it happening. He's essentially lame duck status his first year in office. Granted, Obama tried to an extent, but I have a hard time seeing Biden pursue anything with the rock and hard place he's in politically.
