I can't imagine. Nothing prepares you to not be able to do the one thing as a parent you should, protect your child. Can't imagine being feeling that helpless. That was great story telling, the clown. Just a lesson of you never know what a person is going through on the inside.

one of my many step mothers embezzled money from my father who owned several small businesses. mostly salons. he was an addict and violent behavior was common. i've seen a lot of bytches get slapped around. when he found out he was being swindled, high on blow, he knocked this chick down and twisted her foot off. the shyt cracked at the shin. then he threw it in the backyard and stomped on it. is saw all of this on father's day when i was 8. legal fees abound. plus jailtime. but when if i ever talk about it on stage, i make jokes about it costing him an arm and a leg...well...at least a leg.
