Those are the breaks. You conveniently leave out that most salaried workers are working well over 40 hours a week with no increase in pay. So yea, we can “be late” because companies are getting more than their money’s worth.

Wage workers are paid for the hours they work, you need to be on time, they ain’t paying you for the time you’re not on the job. And if you work more than your 40, y’all get overtime. Trade offs
