You can still get a nice car without financing. I remember I had a 94 Legend coupe back in like 03. I'm at a gas station and some white dude in a brand new Cavalier says to me "nice car."

For what he paid for his, he could have literally bought 3 or 4 of my cars. :yeshrug:

I drive an 05 MDX now that I'm very happy with. Even happier that I never had to make payments.

nikkas like to floss so they cop shyt they literally can't afford (which is why you're financing :stopitslime:) to look cool. Cars depreciate the moment you drive them off the lot yet the price goes up every second. Definition of ass backwards. Especially when you can still stunt in something used.

My whip game has always been on point. And I've never made a single car payment my entire life.

I probably won't buy new again unless I come up on some millions or at least 6 figures in my future salary..

I was driving a 97 nissan maxima from 2004 all through the first half of 2011, definitely was a good car, but i was at 200k miles, when I got into an accident, insurance wasn't trying to even repair the shiit, they was tryina give me $500 for it . I just wanted to start with something fresh.

My black on Black whip wit the new features got me feeling like a Young professional in these ATL streets now .

I drove a '96 Tacoma truck from '99 until last month when it broke down and I was told it would cost $1500 to fix.

I ended up buying a 2010 Nissan Sentra.

Vehicles are nothing but transportation to me. I'd rather spend money on other shyt.

I wanted a nice ride so I financed a 17k car, I threw 4k down but that 4k basically didnt even go towards the loan it payed for taxes and other services i stupidly got. Its a nice car but overall im paying like 5-6k more than what the car was worth at the time when its all said in done because of interest and other BS charges I got during the course of the process. i consider it a L.

I got it 2 years ago and have 2.5 years left paying for it. Overall it sucks because each month I look at my $300 car note and hate it. I couldnt imagine being a guy with a $500 note.

I had the money to buy something for 5k to even 10k and could have been done with the payment at once but instead I decided to take on a loan i cant get out of and in the end I will have lost money in the grand scheme of things

now when i go to sell this car it will be worth like half of what i paid for if that. in my opinion a really nice car isnt even worth it you can do just as much with a paid for car that isnt over 10k.

i figured if i keep paying the monthly note it will cost me like 2 grand in interest. i could try pay it off now but that will be a huge hit to my money...wtf should i do?

i learned my lesson years ago. good to see you've learned yours. this is the sh1t they should be making courses of in college. but noooo, if everyone wises up, the economy will go to sh1t.

i tell ya, if u live in a state where having a car is a necessity, take ur time to do research. get a brand new car for under $20,000, and know that the car will be ur only car for the next 10 years. learn not to be like ur foolish friends and/or family members who feel the need to change sh1t up just cause their bored with it.

i totally understand what ur going through. i had to work two jobs to hurry the fucck up and pay it off asap. having a car note is slavely, as far as i'm concerned.

I financed through the Credit Union I work at

Got my APR knocked down just for being an employee and some other services I use with the Credit Union.

$150 a month.

To the poster have you thought about trying to refinance through a credit union they usually have better rates.

nah im never getting a old car ever again in my life. i dont give a fucck how certified it is. fucck that. the heartache is too much. if u live in a state where a car is necessity, get a brand new car and be done with buying cars for the next several years till the wheels fall off.

I don't get loans on my cars because I dont want to pay more for the car in the long run. Especially when its something I already gotta pay maintenance, gas, insurance, and registration on.

Bought a 99 Tacoma for 6k, 3 years ago. Only thing replaced are $200 shocks. 111,000 miles on it. Getting a 30K bonus this fall, dropping 10 on a Wrangler(Used) and probably only having 6k left to pay. Taken the 20 remaining, 15 in savings, 5 on vacay with the wife.
