this verse is not that good, he didn't ride the beat, shyt was like a run on sentence, he was trying to hard to style out
when he just have just took his time and picked the beat apart

There arent many perfect verses so to complain about a verse being imperfect is just nitpicking. The reason the verse is significant is because its a call to arms and a display of Kendrick's technical prowess

Kendrick can ride a beat in triple time if he wants to, that wasnt the point here. Truth be told, from a purely musical standpoint I dont find this super enjoyable either, but it makes me happy that Kendrick is willing to put industry "friendships" on the line for the sake of the art. Thats the point.
