One Thing That Always Pissed Me Off About Playing Basketball

I remember our JV team was really talented but we were wild & undisciplined as fukk, we had a layup line where the entire team was basically trying to dunk. Dudes were hanging on the rim, the refs hit us with like 5 techs, they couldn't get us for all the attempts cause it was like 9 of the 13 kids on the team doing it (Keep in mind only 3 of us could dunk ). After that same game we were sitting in the bleachers watching the varsity team and someone ordered a pizza and had it delivered to the gym, the coach was furious cause we weren't "showing respect" to the varsity team (Who we beat all the time in scrimmages)

The fact that you couldn't dunk in warm ups in High School Basketball games They seriously called a technical for that shyt Man that shyt was annoying as fukk. First of all, it was a celebrated accomplishment to even be able to dunk in High School, because not everybody could do that shyt. When you was a young nikka you wanted to showcase that shyt at every opportunity. It seems like today every kid on every team in High School can dunk, but that definitely wasn't the case when I played.

They seriously had nikka out in the layup line slapping boards cause we couldn't yam it And you know a nikka left wasn't that strong, so a nikka really need to be able to dunk that bytch. Y'all nikkas that played know how that shyt was. When you got a weak left hand, you make that right hand lay up likethen you gotta switch over to the other side for the left hand lay up, knowing it's a 48% chance you might miss and the whole crowd watching warm ups If a nikka could dunk, it would be all good, but noooo, some bytch ass nikka had to make a dumb ass rule outlawing dunking in warm ups.

But nikkas wised up though. That's when we start dunking that bytch, but not letting our hand touch the rim

Yeah, I'm still mad about that shyt to this day.

I got one better. Blasting someone's shyt off of the backboard and slapping glass while doing it. I got a tech called on me. I thought the ref was joking till some Damon Bailey looking mufukka starting shooting free throws for the other team. I'm still bitter about that shyt.

& you should be ashamed of yourself for not being able to make a leftly layup . My left hand been pure since middle school. nikkas can't tell if I'm right of left handed unless I'm shooting jumpers. When dudes be like "force him right ", I just look at them like

Yo real talk after I got older and couldn't dunk I realize how much I had neglected layups all together throughout my life. All those crazy double clutch reverse layups, I never even thought of trying....

Unrelated high school fukkery that I just remembered. We were playing like shyt during a game we went to half time and coach is cussing us the fukk out. The assistant coach comes to the locker room like the "horn just went off". Coach says ok. And keeps cussing us out for a few more minutes. A cheerleader runs in the locker room and says "They're playing the game coach!"

We run out there them nikkas they had been letting one of their players dunk. Then we would get a 5 second inbound violation. They would inbound and he would dunk again

I remember mostly sitting the bench on Varsity my Junior year but not playing JV. So during the layup line I said to myself, "Idk why I'm warming up so hard to just go sit on the bench" and some dude walking by to get to his seat heard me and couldn't stop laughing.
