When I played you could dunk but if you snapped the rim you got that T. I threw down my only 2 hand dunk ever in a pregame and was so surprised I got up that I almost held on and snapped it on accident.
I was that dude who dunked pregame(before the layup line) and rarely in game.

Its still illegal in the NCAA, which is why you see so many of those "drop" dunks if you ever go to a college game. K-State got hit with that tech a couple of years ago against Kentucky. I believe the spirit of the rule is you can actually affect the height of the rim or break it or break it in pregame.

The fact that you couldn't dunk in warm ups in High School Basketball gamesMan that shyt was annoying as fukk. First of all, it was a celebrated accomplishment to even be able to dunk in High School, because not everybody could do that shyt. When you was a young nikka you wanted to showcase that shyt at every opportunity. It seems like today every kid on every team in High School can dunk, but that definitely wasn't the case when I played.
They seriously had nikka out in the layup line slapping boards cause we couldn't yam itAnd you know a nikka left wasn't that strong, so a nikka really need to be able to dunk that bytch. Y'all nikkas that played know how that shyt was. When you got a weak left hand, you make that right hand lay up like
then you gotta switch over to the other side for the left hand lay up, knowing it's a 48% chance you might miss and the whole crowd watching warm ups
But nikkas wised up though. That's when we start dunking that bytch, but not letting our hand touch the rim
Yeah, I'm still mad about that shyt to this day.

They tech us each for dunking which I guess they could have thrown us out cause I know we all dunked way more than once cause we were out there about 20 minutes waiting for the other team to show. Same dude shot all the free throws he hit 7 of 10. And they got the ball to start the game instead of a jumpball
Unrelated high school fukkery that I just remembered. We were playing like shyt during a game we went to half time and coach is cussing us the fukk out. The assistant coach comes to the locker room like the "horn just went off". Coach says ok. And keeps cussing us out for a few more minutes. A cheerleader runs in the locker room and says "They're playing the game coach!"
We run out there them nikkas they had been letting one of their players dunk. Then we would get a 5 second inbound violation. They would inbound and he would dunk again
