I don’t think this is true cos I have seen a lot of American Radical Left (especially the most rabid pro-Ukrainian ones) & MAGA Twitter handles tweeting against Israel.

With the former, they understand what’s at stake & they know an escalation would affect everyone once oil prices hit the roof. Global economy is still hanging on a balance, after COVID & subsequently Ukraine vs Russian war - destabilisation in MENA would crash everything as soon as oil prices hit record high. It’s also a war Israel can’t win. It can’t nuke Palestinians cos it shares the same tiny space with them & it would amount to Israel nuking itself. And ground invasion into Gaza would be a grave mistake with heavy casualties for the Israelis. All it can do is to level Gaza to the ground & that’s an escalation Arabs won’t standby to watch. So, they’re scared just like every observer out there cos it will hit them individually once the smoke clears.

And with the American MAGA crowd - a lot of them are Evangelical Christians & they don’t like Jews. Nothing is ever going to make them like Jews.

Centrists/moderates just want to keep the current status quo over there.

I don't know any leftist that would pretend that the Americas aren't a colonial project. There obviously aren't really any leftists with real political power in the US, so I'm not even sure what you're referring to as far 'turning a blind eye' goes, but there are leftists in South America, like Lula for example, who ran on and delivered on promises to empower indigenous people.
