Reality is that he's a 7 time MVP, and produced seasons to a level never to be seen again. There isn't gonna be 73 HRs again. There isn't gonna be 45 HRs when walked 232 times again. There may not be a .480 OBP for a long time much less at age 42 in the NL. There isn't gonna be a 500/500 player again. There were better more accomplished boxers before during and after Tyson.
but he wasn't as good in the playoffs so clearly Bryce Harper > > > > barry bonds :heh:

he was walked literally 1/3rd of the time :mjlol:

52 walks, 151 at bats :bryan:

hard to put up numbers when you are being walked 33% of the time, literally. But hey ill let you cook

in 2002, his crazy year, he was walked 27 times out of 45 at bats :mjlol: he was walked over 50% of the time he walked to the plate but you expect him to put him numbers :what: just crazy unrealistic expectations man

ill let yall cook with this bull shyt though :snoop:

his post-season numbers were bad with the Pirates too though.:yeshrug:

I'm judging them based on their athletic peaks and their importance/iconic status in sports history. We'll probably never see a 21 year old heavyweight champ again either.
Its impossible to use stats to objectively compare athletes across different sports. If it's about sustained greatness then Tyson shouldn't have been included in the first place...

ya know

i'm not gonna engage with someone who says:

7 time MVP
73 HRs
45 HRs when walked 232 times
.609 OBP
500/500 player
7x slg % leader
lead mlb in walks 13x

is not a legit GOAT candidate because of his performance in the small sampling size of baseball playoffs. You're really lookin stupid here SC
