Purple Tape. shyt was just so cinematic and vivid. Even the skits were ill. RZA produced the hell out of that album. Listening to it is a journey. Album littered with classic, flawless joints. Rainy Dayz, Glaciers of Ice, Ice Cream, Heaven or Hell, Wu-Gambino, Incarcerated Scarfaces.

just being honest, I've always thought the Purple Tape was even better than Ready to Die, Illmatic, The Infamous, and 36 Chambers.

ready to die is not in the conversation, but illmatic, the infamous and 36 chambers, sure, its a debate. i think all these albums are doing different things and all fulfill their ambitionz, but ready 2 die, i mean, only thing really dpe about it is biggie is a incredible mc. but ideas, production, were kinda cliched to me. would be like a gangsta film coming out in 2015, when we already had godfather 1 and 2, scarface, goodfellas etc. it would really need to be next level and different to even worth making.

cubanlinx is a journey, illmatic is a meditation, 36 chambers is philosophy and energy, infamous is blues music.
